The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a prestigious undergraduate professional degree program that qualifies graduates to practice as licensed dentists (dental surgeons) in India. Minimum Aggregate Marks
General category: 50% in PCB subjects.
SC/ST/OBC categories: 40% in PCB (relaxations apply as per norms).
Age Requirement: Minimum 17 years as on December 31 of the admission year (e.g., December 31, 2026, for 2026 admissions). No upper age limit in most cases.
Entrance Exam: Mandatory qualification in NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). No other entrance exams are accepted for BDS seats.
