National Testing Agency (NTA) has started NEET UG 2026 exam at 2 PM on May 3, 2026. Candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test must know the NEET 2026 official exam guidelines by NTA to ensure they are not stopped from entering in the exam hall. The exam day guidelines include NEET 2026 dress code guidelines for both male and female students. Students have to ensure they follow the rules and do not carry any item mentioned in NEET UG prohibited items list 2026.
NEET 2026 is a paper-pencil-based test for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and other allied medical courses in India. Over 22.7 lakh students are going to appear in this entrance test. The exam is being conducted in pen-and-paper-based mode in 551 Indian cities and 14 international exam centres. In the meantime, NTA has also released NEET 2026 admit card at neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET UG exam is conducted in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM. Hence, students must try to reach the exam centre atleast between 11 AM to 1 PM to complete the security checking on time. Students must note that NTA closed the NEET 2026 entry gate at 1:30 PM. No students were allowed to enter the exam hall after 1:30 PM.

Students appearing in NEET UG 2026 exam must carry simple clothes at the exam centres. NEET dress code for female 2026 restricts them from wearing any heavy jewellery to the exam centre. In case of students with religious attire, reporting between 11 AM to 12 Noon was suggested for mandatory security checking.
