About BHARATI VIDYAPEETH DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Pune was established in 1989 to meet the growing aspirations of the students to obtain professional education in the field of dentistry. Initially it was affiliated with the University of Poona but later on became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).

The college has been recognized by the Dental Council of India and presently, one undergraduate and eight postgraduate courses are being offered at the institute. A Ph.D. programme has also been included.

The dental college building is housed in 1, 32,308 sq. ft. with extension of 75363 sq. ft. as a PG wing. There is ample space for clinics and laboratories and they are equipped with modern equipment and materials. There is an advanced Operation Theatre Complex of around 900 beds at the Bharati Hospital. Aiming to provide the best training to the students, there are also ceramic fabrication systems, laser equipment, research microscopes and digital imaging systems. Enabling the students and the faculty to get the best, there is a large library with over 5,000 books along with national and international journals. A comprehensive collection of resources with internet facility in the library and teaching-learning aids and material in every department form the backbone of the undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes.
