About GOVT. DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Patiala was started as a wing of Govt. Medical College Patiala in1956. It established as an independent institution in the year 1989. The Dental wing was started with a strength of 12 admissions which were subsequently raised to 20 and there after to 40 admissions for the BDS course. The college is also imparts post-graduate courses (M.D.S.) in four specialties. It is one of the premier institutes of the country. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and recognized by Dental Council of India. The institute is providing quality education to its students and has built up the reputation of an institute per excellence.

Welcome to GDC, Patiala. It is affiliated with BFUHS, recognized by DCI, one of the premier institutes of India which offers degrees in BDS and MDS in four branches of Dentistry. As Principal of this institute, I proudly pen down that our small faculty team works relentlessly to make our students strong, competent and skilled professionals. We focus on making a learning environment for the students to achieve their goals. We make all efforts to train our students with clinical, academic, and research domain skills. Many alumni of this college have achieved heights in India and abroad. I am deeply indebted to the entire team of GDC for their generosity in their efforts, time, talent and resources.
