Dental Science is an area that has gained tremendous recognition in recent years. In the past, this important facet of medical sciences was neglected in comparison with mainstream medicines. The ratio of the qualified dental surgeon was very low as compared to other medical faculties, this promoted the HKDE trust to establish a dental college, one that would serve the populace of Karnataka and a neighboring state. the InstiLule got off to a flying start under the guidance and the leadership of Shri. BASAVARAJ H. PATIL as chief trustee. This college started in the year 1992 and got recognized by the Dental Council of India and Govt. of India in the year 1997 and it is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore.
