Institute of Dental Sciences, Jammu (J&K)is an initiative taken by the “Trikuta Charitable Trust”. The trust was formed to impart the best professional education to students of Science. The Trust believes that the path to the socio-economic and ethical transformation of the country is through the delivery of quality education. The trustees comprise a cohesive group of experienced persons with impeccable integrity who have committed themselves to the task of making the Education Project set up by the trust of the ‘Centre of Excellence. The Trust is chaired by Dr. R.K Suri, a renowned Medical Professional in Jammu. Intending to provide unparalleled education in the field of Dental Sciences, as its first milestone, the Trustees assiduously went about the task of setting up the first Private Dental College in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. The BDS Program of the college is recognized by DCI and the college is affiliated to the University of Jammu. The institute scrupulously adheres to the stringent guidelines of the Dental Council of India (DCI) and other applicable guidelines of the university. Established in 2006, it has been reaccredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2023. It has produced around 1000 Dentists who have made the institute feel proud of them through their quality services to the Oral Health Care system and Research in India and abroad. The institute adheres to an Outcome-based Course Curriculum and well-developed strategy to foster student-centered learning and a strong commitment to the social cause of the community.
