About REGIONAL DENTAL COLLEGE
Welcome to Regional Dental College, a government dental college situated near GMCH, Bhangagarh, Guwahati. It is the first and premier dental institute of the north eastern region and caters to people of the whole region. The college is situated in a central location beside the Narakasur hill, making it easily accessible to patients from different parts of Assam and North Eastern states.We have students from various Noth Eastern States studying here in the college. There is a conglomeration of cultural harmony among the students.With its strategic location, the college offers a conducive environment for learning and professional development. Our mission is to provide quality dental healthcare to the people of Assam and beyond. Regional Dental College is a postgraduate institute which was formed in the year 1982 under the leadership of Dr B.R. Bhuyan (1982-1996) who was the founder Principal of the college. He had planned to start this dental institution with a view to produce qualified manpower to serve the region and providing opportunity of self employment to the young generation. He was followed by Dr P.D. Bora (1996-2011), Dr A.K. Adhyapok(2011- 2018), Dr A.C. Bhuyan( 2018- 2022) and Dr Mitali Bora ( from 2022 till date).

About DR. MITALI BORA
Dr Mitali Bora is presently the Principal of Regional Dental College in 2022. She has served in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She was also the founder Principal of Govt Dental College Dibrugarh. She founded the Guwahati Orthodontic Study group and is the first lady Orthodontist of the North Eastern region. Her aim is to take the institution to the pinnacle in the field of Dentistry. Being the lady principal she also focuses a lot in women empowerment. Prof. Bora is academically and professionally highly accomplished with more than 35 years of experience in service, teaching, and research. Prof. Bora is a nationally renowned dental clinician with pioneering contributions in the Field of Orthodontics. Prof. Bora combines an exceptional mix of skills of a gifted teacher and educationist. Prof. Bora is involved in Indian Orthodontic Society (IOS) and various camp and social activities. Prof. Bora is the life member of IOS and has chaired various conferences and PG convention. Recently in the 57th Indian Orthodontic Conference held at Meerut on 15th Sept 2023, Prof Bora was honoured as ‘Stalwart of Orthodontics.’ She has published many national and international articles in various journals.
