Sathyabama Dental College and Hospital, was established in 2009,by Founder Chancellor Dr. Jeppiaar MA.B.L, Ph.D.,with the aim of producing future dentists of our country with a humane nature and broad scientific knowledge required for dentists.The school of dentistry offers undergraduate course with a duration of five years and post graduate course in three disciplines namely Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics,Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics,Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry with a duration of three years.We aim at up-to-date dental education which could correspond to requirements & changes in the times,as recommended by Dental Council of India.In order to further develop, we will promote the activation, advancement & internationalization of our dental research as well as the improvement of dental education.

About DR. SHAHUL HAMEED FAIZEE

Dr.Shahul Hameed Faizee joined Sathyabama Dental College as Professor & Head of department of Orthodontics in April 2016. He completed his BDS in the year 1996 and MDS in 2001. Presently he is pursuing his PhD in Lasers in Orthodontics. He holds 20 years of teaching undergraduates and postgraduate dental students, along with 15 years of experience in administration and Research activities. His familiarity is student oriented professional involvement which is noteworthy, focussing on academics, research and self development.

March 2003 to October 2008: Senior lecturer / Associate Professor in department of Orthodontics, Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Research Institute
November 2008 to March 2016: Associate professor / Professor in department of orthodontics Ragas Dental College.Uthandi, Chennai
April 2016 to June 2022: Prof & HOD in Dept Orthodontics Sathyabama Dental College, Chennai.
June 2022 till date: Dean- Sathyabama Dental College & hospital.
