Periodontics is a department which deals with diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth, and study of dental implants. Provides clinical training for the under graduate and post graduate students for catering periodontal needs for the patients. The department of periodontics was established in 2007 and currently headed by Dr. U. Arunmozhi. The Department provides various treatment facilities like ultrasonic scaling root planing, flap surgery, splinting, gingivectomy, periodontal plastic surgery and dental implants. The department is equipped with latest equipments like Piezosurgery unit, implant unit, loupes and lasers
