Ch. Lekh Raj was a noble soul and a philanthropist of great repute. He had a great concern for the welfare of the people of his village—Gadholi. For the kind of social services he performed, he earned the warm respect from his village folk. He had a vision to provide for the people living in and around village Gadholi easy access to professional education including medical, paramedical, engineering, and management. After this great soul left for his heavenly abode in the year 1995, his son Ch. Rajinder Kumar and his grandchildren – Sh. Inder Pal Singh and Sh. Sat Pal Singh started Ch. Lekh Raj Education & Charitable Trust in the year 2007. This Trust has the main objective of uplifting the standard of living of rural masses through charitable social services and by providing professional education to the doorstep of every family in this area. With a short span of time, this Trust has done a Yeoman’s job. It has established 120 bedded Ch. Lekh Raj Multi-specialty General Hospital with most modern and exquisite infrastructure having three operation theatres, sophisticated and state of the art investigative and diagnostic facilities with well-known doctors of all specializations. The Trust has also established Yamuna Group of Institutions, which has had monumental growth and has earned a very good brand image in northwest region of the country. It has become a preferred destination for students from different states of the country. As a part of its activities pertaining to social obligations, every year, the Trust organizes blood donation camps, invites celebrities for entertainment of people and celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti with great pomp and show.
