Established in 2005, the Faculty of Dental Science (FDS) at Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad, is a premier institution recognized by the Dental Council of India for its excellence in undergraduate (BDS) and postgraduate (MDS) education. The college combines a rigorous academic curriculum with vast clinical exposure, treating over 1.2 lakh patients annually through its association with the Dr. N.D. Desai Hospital and specialized units like the Oral Cancer Centre. Students benefit from a modern 153,000 sq. ft. campus equipped with over 275 dental chairs, advanced technology such as lasers and endodontic microscopes, and a dedicated E-library to support research and learning. Ours is a premier institute imparting excellent clinical education & scientific research training to the enrolled students. The college is an integral part of prestigious Dharmsinh Desai University and is recognized by Dental Council of India for its undergraduate & postgraduate courses.
Our dental college exhibits an array of equipments starting from basic to most contemporary & advanced gadgets like Lasers, Endodontic microscope, Dolphin Imaging Software, etc.Every year approximately 1,20,000 patients undergo various kind of dental treatments in our institute. A dedicated Oral Cancer Centre has been functioning to curb & treat the ill-effects of tobacco.
Lectures, preclinical/clinical demonstrations, field surveys, seminars, journal clubs, dental check-up & education camps are a regular phenomenon in the institute. Knowledgeable and scholarly teachers are hallmark of our institution.Our academic training program run by highly qualified 60 faculties among them we have more than 30% faculties are having at least 15 years of academic experience. We are having full bag of experienced as wel l as fresher faculties.
Along with routine academic activities, annual sports week & talent evening celebrations do happen wherein the students & staff display their hidden extra-curricular flare.
