Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University notified by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India vide notification No. F.9-46/2004-U.3 and UGC Notification No. F.No.6-1-6/2004 (CPP-1) dated March 3rd, 2007. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth comprises twelve constituent institutes. These institutes offer undergraduate programs like MBBS, BDS, BPT, BAMS, BHMS, B.Pharm, Pharm D, B.Sc. (Nursing), P.B. B.Sc. (Nursing), ANM, GNM, B.Sc. (Paramedical), B.ASLP, Optometry, etc., postgraduate programs like MD, MS, MDS, MPT, M.Sc. (Nursing), M.Pharm, Pharm D (PB), MBA (Healthcare), M.Sc. in Medical, M.Sc. (Para-Medical) etc., diploma programs in paramedical sciences, and super-specialty programs like M.Ch., D.M., and Ph.D. programs in various streams. All programs offered by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth are approved by statutory bodies such as MCI, DCI, PCI, INC, IAP, RCI, NCH, NCISM, UGC, and the Board of Management. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth was re- accredited with an “A++” Grade with 3.61/4 CGPA in 2022 by the prestigious National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In 2018, UGC awarded Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Category 1 status under the UGC Categorization of Universities for grant of graded autonomy regulations 2018.

About PROF. R. VENKATA SUBRAMANYAM

Welcome to the website of K. M. Shah Dental College and Hospital, one of the constituent colleges of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, an Institution Deemed to be University. I have recently taken over the responsibility of leading this institution – a formidable task and a challenge. Nevertheless, with the support of an excellent Management and the cooperation of diligent and sincere faculty, I am sure my mission is not Mission Impossible.

Dentistry, especially in the last decade, has been progressing rapidly, thanks to technological innovations in consortium with burgeoning scientific advances. We do not want to be left behind, and every effort is being made to keep pace with these developments. As a result, students who gain admission to our institute will be exposed not only to an assorted case material but also to a variety of teaching methodologies (like EBES – Evidenced Based Education System), learning practices, and research. Our library, sports, and recreational facilities, hostel, and mess amenities are par excellence. We believe in the all-around development of our students so that when the students pass out from our institution, they will not only be competent and confident dental surgeons with a vision for the future, but also good human beings.
