About HIMACHAL DENTAL COLLEGE

It dates back to 1992 when the chairman thought of an idea to start a dental college for the students of Himachal Pradesh, the state of gods and goddesses. After various hiccups the college finally took of in 1994. The Himachal Dental College started under the aegis of Sh. Gian Chand Dharamvir Charitable Trust in the year 1994 under the dynamic leadership of chairman of the trust. In its constant endevour of reaching excellence, the college got a permanent recognition in the year 2000 & holds the distinction of being the first dental college in state of Himachal Pradesh.This college is duly recognized by DCI, Govt. of India, Govt. of H.P & H.P University Shimla. The college again pioneered Post graduate courses in departments of - ENDODONTICS, PEDODONTICS, ORTHODONTICS, PROSTHODONTICS & PERIODONTICS - yet again the very first in the state. With blessings of the God, the trust has embarked the journey of providing professional education and improve the Vision of the Dental society through Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar.

About DR. BALJEET SINGH

It has been my great pleasure to be associated with Sh. Gian Chand Dharamvir Charitable Trust under whose auspices, Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar has carved a niche for itself in the field of dentistry. Having followed its growth eversince its inception in 1994, the institution has grown by leaps and bounds, horizontally as well as vertically, from being an undergraduate college to a premier post graduate institution in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This message is not ritualistic in nature nor do I believe in decorative words to clothe my message. I personally believe in plain talking. My message is, primarily, to the rainbow generation which is moving in a directionless trajectory, nonchalantly.

Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar is located on NH-21 in a small valley, far away from the din and drum of city traffic. The campus provides a suitable environment for academic pursuits. All the three hostels provide comfortable accommodation to the boarders. In the college, our foremost concern is to strive to be innovative and stimulating, and to provide the students with the opportunity for a rewarding educational experience.
