Dr. Abhay Kolte has done his B.D.S. in 1991 and M.D.S. in 1996 from the esteemed Government Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur. Currently working as a Dean, Professor, Post graduate teacher, Ph.D. Supervisor& Head of Department of Periodontology and Implantology at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur. Additionally, he has also done his PGDHHM (Post graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Care Management) from the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.

Dr. Abhay Kolte has more than 27 years of teaching experience. He has been invited as Keynote Speaker at various International and National conferences. He has more than 160 publications inInternational, National and State level journals of repute. He has chaired Scientific Sessions in Speciality and Other Dental conferences.

He has been actively involved in organising events at the National level wherein he was the Treasurer of 22^nd National Conference of Indian Society of Periodontology at Nagpur in 1998, Organising Secretary of the 62^nd National Indian Dental Conference at Nagpur in 2009, Organising Chairman of the 41^st National Conference of Indian Society of Periodontology at Nagpur in 2016, Co-Chairman of the National Indian Society of Oral Implantology at Nagpur in 2023. He has also shouldered the responsibilities of Hon. Secretary of Indian Dental Association, Nagpur Branch in 2004-2006, President of Indian Dental Association, Nagpur Branch in 2008-2009, Secretary of Indian Society of Periodontology Head Office from 2016-2019, President of Indian Dental Association Maharashtra State Branch 2017-2018. He has also been an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Dental Association Maharashtra State Branch since 2000 till date, Executive Committee Member of the Indian Society of Periodontology since 1997 till date and Central Council Member Indian Dental Association Head Office since 2006.
