About SARDAR PATEL POST GRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL AND MEDICAL SCIENCES

Dental Science is an area that has gained tremendous recognition in recent years. In the past, this important facet of Medical Science was neglected in comparison with mainstream medicine. The ratio of qualified Dental Surgeons was very low as compared to other Medical faculties. This prompted our Founders to establish an Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences along with a General Hospital with the main objective of rendering social and public service to the poor, needy and deserving populace of Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states along with providing Academic excellence in Dental and Medical Sciences, Training and Research. The Institute got off to a flying start under the leadership of Hon’ble Founder Chairman Late Dr. O.P. Chaudhary. It was his zeal, enthusiasm, determination, patience and perseverance that the Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences was setup in 1996, and named ‘Sardar Patel Post Graduate Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences’ as a tribute to Iron man of India – Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who have been a constant source of inspiration to our Hon’ble Chairman.

Sardar Patel is one of the Premier Dental Institutes of North India and has been producing one of the finest dental professionals in the country over the past two and a half decades. Our renowned Post Graduate and Under Graduate Program allows the Budding Dental Professionals to actively learn standard and modern dental procedures and techniques and also engage in constant Professional Development which is imperative in today’s World.

The faculty of Dentistry in our institute comprises of a truly dedicated and recognized team of teachers, researchers and clinicians. Students enjoy state of the art facilities including ultra-modern Laboratories, Skill Laboratories, Comprehensive Digitalized Library Services and assistance provided by extremely skilled Dental Surgery assistants, Dental Technicians, Dental Hygienists and Lab Technicians. Currently about 150 students from all part of Country are engaged in Post Graduate studies and around 500 students are pursuing the Under Graduate course at our institute.
